News from Patrick Flynn

Here we go

With the passing of Friday’s filing deadline for the April 5 election the question of who, and what, will appear on the ballot is set.  Among other things I decided to ask my neighbors for the privilege of a second term representing the neighborhoods of Downtown, Fairview, Government Hill, Mountain View and South Addition, and I’ve drawn two opponents.

One is a local auctioneer who frequently criticizes certain local social service agencies (he chose to make his home on industrial land adjacent to two agencies that serve Anchorage’s homeless population), while the other was briefly infamous for his efforts to install a cyclotron in his garage.  I’m sure we’ll all enjoy a lively dialogue!

If you feel I’ve done a credible job over the past three years I would be honored to have your support.  Click here for more information on how you can donate, get involved or otherwise participate in what some describe as Alaska’s second-favorite indoor sport!

Regards,

Patrick

  4. I do not consider myself a oppenent to Pat Flynn, My placing my name on the ballot is part of good government. My goal is to bring out issues and exchange ideas on how to deals with them. Pat shouldn’t be concerned where I live because I choose to here and am allow to do so under present zoning codes. His concerns should be focused on the the agencies I criticize for being in the wrong location with conditional uses which should have never been granted with the BFS being out of compliance for over 7 years with by the time it get reviewed will be 8. As for the cyclotron, hey maybe Pat should be brought up to speed on the location of the super critical, high pressure, oxidation of hazserdous waste plant that was going to be install on the same block as the BFS and Beans and they didn’t even oppose it . It was experimental ! So my criticism is out of my humanitium beliefs, I stand by them. As for lively dialogue- possible but not needed and I will stick to issues that concern the district and the Muni as a whole. Ron Alleva
