Retreat!

In preparation for the impending budget season the Assembly is planning a two or three hour retreat sometime in the next couple weeks to get ourselves in gear.  Date, time and place are still undecided.  The relatively brief length is indicative of the fact that most of us have a pretty clear understanding of the budgetary process.  We do have two new members, however, and a few others who don’t spend as much time on matters fiscal, so it’s likely a good idea.

I know it’s early, but if you have any particular budgetary concerns now is the time to start floating them my way.  The Assembly has managed to address most of them in the past by working together and thinking about the long-term effects.  And the more time we think, the better results tend to be!

Administrative note: At the behest of the web trolls – their term, not mine – we’re making a few changes that should be invisible to you (domain hosting, etc.).  That may result in the site going down for a while for reasons that are somewhat opaque to me but, never fear, it will be return as soon as I resolve whatever hiccups I encounter.

Regards,

Patrick

  2. Hi Patrick,

I don’t know if this is really a muni issue as they may be state roads, but in my daily driving around downtown and midtown, there are huge ruts in our main thoroughfares. Crossing A, C, NL, Benson, Tudor or Minnesota at speeds over 25-30 is dangerous.

    Thanks!

    Peggy
